September Updates: New Venues, New Team, and Tickets Coming Soon!

Autumn is here, and the UKGovCamp organising machine is officially whirring into action. Here is a quick look at what we have been up to this month.
Meet the new committee
We have pulled together an organising team with people joining from right across England, and we are especially chuffed that more than half the team are proud Mancunians!
We had our very first committee meeting recently to map out roles and responsibilities, with folks covering everything from delivery management to user research. It is great to have so many different brains in the room from day one.
The Manchester venue hunt is on
Finding the right venue is our biggest job right now. In the first week of October, a few of us are meeting up in Manchester to scout out potential spaces in person.
We would love your local knowledge on this.
We have built an open map with all the spots currently on our radar: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1-jk23XGEcl2ecYhkpheZj8yr1DFS2no&usp=sharing. If you happene to know a brilliant, accessible spot with decent breakout room, please add it directly to the map, or drop a suggestion in the comments.
The countdown to tickets
Everything hinges on the venue hunt over the next fortnight. Once the space is confirmed, tickets for #ukgc2027 will go live shortly!
We will be sharing live updates across our social channels, with most of the chatter happening over on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/ukgovcamp.com. Keep a very close eye on the feed.
